I’m going to be perfectly honest, we actually booked this hotel by mistake. We normally book at the Delta, but something happened during the booking process and we ended up booking the metropolitan. However, what a wonderful surprise! Nothing but positive feedback for the metropolitan hotel! Parking, and check in were quick and easy. The underground lot is a little tight (depending on what you’re driving) but has ample parking. We were upgraded to a higher floor with a city view. The room was spacious and impeccably clean (thank you Julia!). The bed was comfortable, we slept very well. Our floor was quiet and we didn’t hear any noise throughout the night. In fact, the elevator is so quiet, if you’re not paying attention it’s easy to miss. Mario at the concierge desk was very helpful and friendly. We had a drink in the bar at the end of the night. Happy hour prices were reasonable for Vancouver! The staff is very welcoming and approachable. I had an issue with the coffee machine in our room, so I called down to the front desk. They sent someone to the room immediately to take a look (pretty sure it was something I was doing wrong and not the machine itself). The young man that came was polite and helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to the wonderful staff for a pleasant stay. Highly recommend this hotel. We will be back!

Overall stay was great. We did call to check if early check in was available and were told our room was ready, when we arrived 15 mins later we were told they mixed us up with another guest and our room was going to be about 2-3 hours still. When we got into our suite 2.5 hours later we didnt think to check if we had the extra bedding for our third (paid for adult) person so at 11pm when bed time rolled around we had to call down and wait for blankets and pillow. Two adults and one child (2yo) ate at the restaurant for the breakfast included but the server said only one adult meal and one kids was covered which was fine but we found the breakfast voucher to be a bit misleading. (It seemed that 2 adults and 2 kids were included) All in all wonderful hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and beautiful.

I had a fantastic stay at the Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver. The location is absolutely perfect, very central, extremely safe, and within easy walking distance of so many attractions, shops, and restaurants. My room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The pool and fitness facilities were excellent, and I especially appreciated the saunas and steam rooms in the changing areas. Parking was a little bit of a tight squeeze, but there were plenty of underground spaces available, and the elevators up to the lobby made access very convenient. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver!

Metropole Hotel – A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Vancouver The Metropole Hotel is perfectly located — just steps from great restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. It’s the kind of spot where you can easily explore the city on foot and feel part of the local energy. The staff are outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help with anything you need. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The rooms have a stylish, modern design with a touch of heritage charm. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together — a perfect mix of character and comfort. A great choice for anyone looking for convenience, personality, and great service in downtown Vancouver. Highly recommend!

Fantastic venue for the company's year-end event! We've had the event here, 3 years in a row. Best staff, venue, and menu. Everything we needed was all in one place.

The Metropolitan Hotel is a relic of its Mandarin Oriental (aka Jardine family past) with throwbacks to its past as a member of a Hong Kong luxury hotel empire. Front desk staff state that the hotel is due to be properly rebranded soon, with the addition of a Renaissance club lounge, but until then, one can enjoy the Hong Kong/southern Chinese theming (lions at the door, intricate wood carving in the lobby, and rooms that are still very well appointed. The bathroom looks like something from the 80’s but other than the Marriott, residence inn, and the suites at the JW, it is one of the few hotels that provide guests with a bathroom in Vancouver. Service is polished, and I do appreciate that the Diva at the Met (the hotel restaurant) offers a sit down breakfast with meals made to order, even if they do apply a $7 surcharge for hot breakfast if you select the breakfast benefit, which otherwise gives you complimentary continental options. Key funding is that the meals they do provide are of excellent quality. Special mention, sound proofing in the rooms is great, and the furniture is in great shape.
